Log Masking

Sometimes you will need to hide the values of certain parameters from your log. This is particularly important for forms that accept passwords.

To hide the value of a parameter from your log, go to the main adapter page and look for Mask next to the transaction logging option.

From there you can add a listing of request and response parameters that you would like to hide from your transaction log.

*Note: Transactions that are already present in the log will not have newly added parameters masked. Only future logged transactions will be masked with newly added parameters. Likewise, removing masked parameters will not unmask existing masked transactions.

NOTE: By default a parameter called password is automatically masked. However is it entirely possible that a variant of the term password (e.g. pw) is used. Therefore be very careful to check your in and outbound data to verify that no sensitive parameters will be saved and exposed in your log.
